How many tablespoons are there in a cup?

Many people get confused when they have to take a tablespoon as a standard but they have to take a bulk of it. That is why for convenience they want to know whether how many tablespoons will be required to fill a cup so that they could do the work with ease and in less time.

For finding the answer to this question you have to know what type of cup you are using. For this purpose, cups can be divided into four categories

Small

Medium

Large

Extra large

Extra-large cups have many varieties therefore we have neglected the extra-large cups here. It is also because very few people use extra-large cups in a normal routine.

Small cup

While trying to know that how many tablespoons it will take to fill a small cup, it was found that solids and liquids have different capacities. For example, it takes 13-14 tablespoons of sugar to fill a small cup whereas it takes 19-20 spoons of water to fill a small cup. A typical picture of a small cup is given below:

Medium cup

Taking solid in a tablespoon, approximately it takes 16-17 spoons to fill a medium cup given in the picture. While the experiment shows that if the liquid is taken in a spoon, you will require 24-25 of it to fill a medium cup.

Large cup

Approximately 19-20 spoons of sugar are required to fill a large cup while 29-30 spoons filled with water are required to fill a large cup as shown in the figure:
